The New SpearMart is Almost Here...
March 20th, we will be going-LIVE with the New and Improved SpearMart, FSU’s electronic procurement system. All procurement requisition and purchase order related activities (excluding receiving, invoicing/payments, and internal purchase orders) will be moving out of OMNI and into SpearMart. The focus of the SpearMart Enhancement Project is to create a “One Stop Shopping” experience which includes shopping, requisition creation, workflow approvals, purchase order creation/distribution, as well as all procurement related paper forms.
Training for end users with the “Requester” Role is required prior to Go-Live. Requesters can elect to receive training either through a Hands-On Instructor Led Session or through an online self-paced course. Hands-On Instructor Led Training is available between February 27th and March 10th. Space is limited, so please register through OMNI HR as soon as possible. The online self-paced course is under development and should be available no later than March 6th.
To register for training follow these steps:
Log into myFSU> Enter your user ID and password>HR>Self Service>Learning and Development>Request Training Enrollment>Search by Course Name. Enter the course name (SpearMart Requester Training) and follow the prompts to complete the registration.
New SpearMart Job Aids for Approvers, Shoppers, and Requesters will be available online at http://procurement.fsu.edu by February 27th.
Please note that the last day to create requisitions in OMNI will be March 14th as we will need to bring the system down for a few days while we prepare for Go-LIVE on March 20th.
